AFTER SCHOOL CLUB

After School Club now runs 4 nights a week with a staff of 2 adults per session.It provides a relaxed atmosphere where young and older pupils alike mix together and play. Weather permitting, children are supervised outside on the adventure playground and playing football and games sessions. We try to make activities seasonal, such as making pancakes, apple dipping and apple games in the autumn. In the Autumn and Winter months cooking is a regular feature along with various art and craft based activities. Comments from the children include that the club is "cool" "fun with lots of toast and cakes" and "it is a place where you can play and eat." Some of the older children use the sessions to complete their homework.

"At After School Club you get to play games and eat fruit and toast. Sometimes we get to make cakes and eat them. They taste delicious. Sometimes they taste of strawberries. It's fun at After School club. I love it especially when we go to the ICT area to play on the computers."  Amber (Y2)
