Rotary Club Quiz

Dartmoor and Exeter's Rotary club annual quiz saw Teign Valley schools defeat 8 other regional teams around Devon made up of four schools each. The four schools in the Teign team were Hennock, Dunsford, Dodiscombsleigh and of course Christow.

The quiz was held at Christow School. The head teacher Mrs Heath spoke to reporter Harry Satloka earlier today,

"I was very impressed with the children's extensive general knowledge".

In the quiz there were three categories-Food and Drink, Geography and the teams favourite General Knowledge with 15 minutes to spare for each subject. The Valley schools did some subjects in a record time of less than 7 minutes.

After every round results would be telephoned in to Rotary Club HQ who would work out the results,

After the last round the tension was really building, the representative

read out the results, "You drew with another team but because your time was so good the judges have decided you are the winners". There was a huge triumphant roar started by spectator Rudi Satloka.

Last year the year 6s came second in Devon-this year we were first!
