Year 6 Adventure Challenge
On June 23rd the Year 6 children met up with other year 6 pupils from Chudleigh Knighton, Dunsford and Doddiscomsleigh to take part in an 'Adventure Challenge' Day. This took place at the Teign Valley Community Hall. The children were divided up into teams so that there were some children from each of the schools in each team. During the morning the teams took it in turns to try each of the tasks that were set out for them. Each time they were given planning time so that they could discuss with each other how they might go about solving their tasks. In the afternoon each group had to tackle the same task which was to build the tallest platform that they could that would support every member of the team. For this tasks groups first had to plan and buy or trade for the equipment that they wanted to use. Each group eventually achieved the objective, which was very impressive! Everyone had a great day out and got to know some of the other children that they will be seeing at their new school next term.
